I used to agree with you a while back (back when he first started releasing music), but I've been really impressed with Grady's recent output, there's a lot more depth to his tunes now, a bit more value if you know what I mean - some of his new shit fucking rocks out thumbsup

maybe i'm getting old...

the quality just isnt there for me... i'm sorry, but with grady its 'cheesy vocal' + 'some random riff' + low-end bassline and FUCK, he has his own style, so do i, so does everyone really...

like i say, i respect grady 4 what he is, but all this shite about glazby, i respect him way more than grady at this point. Glazby came into the scene whith karim & fierce as competition... and started VC. Paul is a fucking legend IMO. Grady and ALL of us producer's need to step the fuck up in order to make a difference and be remembered, i dont wanna be grady, i want to produce hard yet QUALITY tracks. fuck the dancefloor, i want ppl to respect, know what i mean? thats prob not what grady's going for (neither did karim!!) but i still love they guy!

keep it hard fella's biggrin just think tho...

I really don't wanna start a debate but..... Quote... "It is an intense IMPACT of energy"

Samples like that don't come along everyday. My point is Grady never uses cheesey vocals infact I'd pay good money to be involved in the making and finding of his main vox samples.

It might sound like I'm being biased but theres one or two "big shot producer/djs" that use more cheesy vocals than Grady.

My ten bobs worth is that Grady definatly has his own style and so what if he creates the same old low end basslines and typical gritty hoovers and yeah I agree that maybe that his breakdowns if anything are same old same old hoovers, but everyone has there own sound and to be one of the few that when they produce a track people automatically know it's Grady is worth the credit in my book.

Really not having a pop but I feel that Grady of all producers should be left alone in this field. Along with Narc, Kam, Riggsy and even Tom Parr, all 4 are decent producers, all 4 genuinly use the same elements from the last track but to me it just shows that they have there own sound. I truely think that untill the the scene dramtically changes the producers won't.

I'm pissed so if I make no sense at all then fook it I don't care. laughing

Again I hope u don't think I'm having a go cause I'm really not. I just love the gritty sound that is GradyG. thumbsup

For fucks sake Rudi, what is your problem with Narc and Grady?, you constantly start threads slagging them off

I think Grady's stuff is wkd for the NRG it creates..

He doesnt have the same sound quality as paul maddox etc but he compensates for this with Raw NRG and hoover programming to die forsmile

Rudi, that eternal energy mix is old news that we didnt really even want online, id be the first to admit that. Not being childish here but you should just focus your efforts on creating that sound yourself because surely you know what to expect from us by now. Threads like this wont achieve much, Grady could get sledged by the entire board but he'd still be making the same shit at the end of the day.

Im not even into the Grady sound anymore but id happily go see him play, its just something you have to experience i think. He's the best at what he does (HARD NRG) and he's only gonna get better, fair play to him i say for creating one of the hardest sounds there is. And it takes alot to make a hoover original these days but he does it no problem!

rudi mate if you're not that content with modern nrg why are you always hijacking threads in general discussion and making them about nrg? (i have nothing against doing this just seems a bit contradictory?)

Grady is a fucking legend mate, each to their own and all but sha aplaughing

kam - dont just jump on the band wagon mate - ur smarter than that wink

Erm I don't remember jumping on any bandwagon mate, I've always been true to hard nrg same as Grady. You also gotta remember some things Rudi. 1) When Hardhouse exploded people like glazby, Karim etc had a blank canvas to work with cuz the music was new. These days its much harder to get something sounding 'fresh' cuz there is a million more tunes available. 2) Every musician constantly evolves as does their sound. Its easy to keep bringing up 'Hard as fuck' which we all know ain't Grady's greatest which I'm sure Grady would agree with if he was here now, it would be like judging me based on 'Taterface'. Grady's recent productions are shit hot and his sound quality holds it own against the bigguns mate. So basically sha aplaughing

PS. Kam-pain vs Grady G - 'The end is near' Coming soon to Easy Skanking!

hahaha what a thread laughing

and i dont have a problem with narc or grady, read my first post. i am looking to buy some tracks so was hoping ppl could maybe name a few of grady's tunes that are his best because from what i've heard, i dont like all of them (as many people seem to do). errr, thats all really...

i like grady's stuff and am very glad there is a producer like him around today - but he isnt the best IMHO. someone mentioned his latest stuff is way better, well then good - i really really hope so! thumbsup

i'm just trying to find the best NRG has to offer thesedays and i know i drive my point home in a somewhat controversial way, hope i havent offended anyone (esp narc + grady obviously). thats just kinda how i am, esp on when i have to type what i mean eyesup

oh and narc - that set has its moments but i'm quite surpised (in a good way) that ur not too keen on it smile

tbh thrash is the only track really doing it for me on the new x-tension. the grady track is pretty good and the gillen track strikes me as just a tad too hard and noisy (eeek). thrash wins for for me because of the funky bassline and effective use of guitar sample.
