the only one i can think of is on rebirth , but i dont think it matches up to the real deal ....... the best thing to do is get hold of 909 samples , and run em through battery or kontakt

yeah, just nab the 909 samples... most of them are pretty so-so anyhow.  Unless you're going for that classic feel,  they're rather dated.

I've had a 909 before, its cool and that, but I don't see why there still such a big deal. Percusive sounds have come on some way since then. Unless your doing something retro?

Reason I ask this is I read this on another board, and got me interested... perhaps just a marketing scheme. Either way I think it's a bit pricey...

I am selling my TR909 Drum machine. Exclamation

The drum machine used for the biggest hardcore classics, and used for hard trance, techno and acid by masters 'Scot Project', 'Derb', 'Brain / Unix', 'Chris Liebing', 'Mauro Picotto', etc. Cool

This thing absolutely pounds out!!! Hard kick drum, massive claps, crisp hi-hats & it is MIDI capable with a sync for a TB 303... In excellent condition!!! Wink

These things are super hard to find and usually sell for around $3000.

I am selling mine for $2200!!! Shocked

If you are interested in purchasing this beast from me then send me a Private Message...

^ yeah, i mean... it certainly had it's day.  Ritchie Hawtin mixes three decks plus a 909 live, for example, but it's still just a box with samples on it.  Unless you have a big hardware studio it'll be a pain in the ass to get the sound into your machine to sync with whatever else you're doing so you'll just want samples anyhow.  I've got the sample pack, but i'm, alas, stuck in a cafe right now... i'll post them up for you when my dsl line comes in if nobody else gets them to you.  I'll agree with john, though... the 909 D kickdrum is pretty huge, just needs a bit of help biggrin

i have to say , the 909 is nothing but an antique these days , great sounds , but theres a hell of a lot of newer machines out there now , that piss all over it , at half the price or same as....... plus old roland gear is a basterd for latency issues , my r-707 runs slightly slower than all my other drum modules2far, so its due for the bins some time soon......

$2200 (nearly £900)is a bit steep.  You can get them over here for about £650...
