Sarted it a while back unde the name 'The Reason'

Made a lot of changes n just wanna see if u guys think the production is ok regarding how clean it sounds and stuff.

Any advice to make it better i'm after

only listening on shitty headphones but this is quite cool man,dig ya hook,quite catchy..it could be the headphones but it sounds quite 'hollow', so in saying that i wont comment to much on the production but yea nice work!!

like i said before craig, this track is screaming for vocals man, if not then fuck it up wi blips n twists n turns to vary it, coz it goes on a bit without, best production you've done this genre easy. Nice1 m8, glad u like the change in DAW 

I really like this tune mate. dont think it needs a vocal or any bleepy glitchyness. few one shot hits here and there and maybe run a different percussion loop at the start every now and then, just to break it up before it reaches the break. love the break, maybe needs to be a little bit longer and when you use the pass filter before it kicks back in, incorporate the kick/snare roll into it as well, take all the low frequencies out. I reckon doing that will increase the effect of when it kicks back in. really like it though. just needs a bit of polishing in the mixdown and a couple more elements, but i really really like it!

Got some real nice sounds in there and panning going on..

I think you should try and add another bassline tho. Using some sort of vst bass guitar emulator and try and get a nice moving low end going. Just not hitting any of the right low frequency yet for that style.

Cheers Dicky. Gonna take that on board with diff loops and what u said for the break. Defo needs changes as its building.

What Nick said about tryna get the bass sounding better for the style will look at some low end basses. Bass is something I always find a fooker to get right.

Other than that i think its fairly good.

Ok I've tryed to get the bass sounding better although I think I may have over done it a bit..... Think it just needs levels fixing .

My CPU is struggling so the back end of the track is a bit dodgy - crackly.

Ears are a bit nackered now but anyway here it is after some eq and 2 new basses added.

its got elements of prog, electro and real uplifting trance but doesnt have any cheese with it. great combination

You've definatly got the right level of low end in there now dude. But, hahahaha..

I would have personally had longer notes for the low end bass or even a different pattern with some sidechaining. You need to eq the new bass slightly different listening to it in the break. it's just slightly boomy. Great effort tho dude. The ultimate test would be a nice big rig to play it on  Try mixing it into another track that style on a different setup than you produced it on. You'l get a better idea then for the low end.

Thanks Nick I think I'm just gona knock the velocity down on that low bass a little bit so its more of a hummy low end bass then  just boost the frequency a little bit.

Gonna  try some new stuff with the track too . Just been tryna get this bass sorted b4 I make some twists at the end of some loops.

Finally got the bass how I want it. At Last!

Now I've got the lovely job of bouncing all my audio into cubase coz my cpu cant hack the pace!

Gonna do some lil snare and kick rolls n stuff just to get the track moving that bit better but almost there.

This is a really cool track.. but I agree with what someone has already pointed out, its dying for a vocal!

I keep imagining some really sweet female voice over the top.. its just where would you find it?! Obviously its up to you, just my opinion.


You're definitely onto a winner with this track though.
