Steve Maynard is a bit of a legend around London Town. Having played for nearly every promotion in the city and a good number beyond, he’s regarded by many as one of the best technical djs on the circuit with the rare ability to play exactly the right track at exactly the right time. As a result, he’s been picked by the phenomenon that is Twist as one of the very few DJs to play for them on a regular basis alongside legends such as Karim and Superfast Oz. Steve’s production history is also not to be sniffed at, with regular appearances on vinyl as well as digital over the last few years, on labels including FlashPoint, Fireball, Deprivation, Feersum, and Hardsounds. One of my personal favourites is ‘Strapped On’, one of the FlashPoint Digital classics. This mix is a reflection of Steve’s ability to play at any time of night, under any circumstances…
