looking for a laptop to take over my desktop. wanna run reason 4 - would an amd turion 1.9-2.0ghz be enough? any recommends?

and then a proper soundcard, usb? again any help much appreciated - i'll probably get the card from the UK so was thinking of checking digital village or some other stores?

has anyone used the built in laptop s/c for production? obviously its not ideal but is it really that shit? cant get specs for the laptop i'm after, just says "soundcard"

i dont wanna spend too much on a s/c at first so was looking at a cheap usb interface (mainly for dj'ing as i need 2 o/p) and using on board for production.. ?

also i read this laptop has a ExpressCard/54 slot - read briefly about it basically replacing PCMCIA - is this ExpressCard/54 the PCMCIA Express u were talking about mate?

Can't fault this firewire card for Ableton because of it's 6 independant balanced outs and the amazing sound.
