The victim of the Oxford Street murder was on bail for a horrific rape and gang stabbing, it was revealed today.

Steven Bigby, 22, had been charged with raping a 16-year-old girl who had caustic soda poured over her body to destroy DNA evidence.

He was also charged with another attack in which a man was knifed in a gang fight.

Bigby was stabbed in the chest in front of hundreds of shoppers and commuters outside a McDonald's restaurant near Oxford Circus station at about 4.45pm on Monday.

He had been charged in January, along with nine others, over the rape of a girl at a house in Tottenham. She suffered terrible burns from the drain cleaning fluid and at one point it was feared she would die.

Bigby - a member of the north London gang Tugs From Around - was tagged after being freed on bail last week to await trial.

As far as i'm concerned the gangs can all carry on knifing each other- less to worry about that way.

I agree. A bloke round my way who was in and out of prison all the time for GBH/ABH etc (he even tried to bottle me in our local once!) got what was coming to him eventually.

He ended up picking on the wrong person, who then went home, got a kitchen knife and went back to the pub and stabbed him to death!!

So many single young mothers who bring their kids up with no respect, no morals. They grow up with no real life to look forward to, so they have nothing to lose.

(No disrespect to single Mum's - just the one's that can't be arsed to bring their kids up proper-like!)

It's not just single mothers mate.  One of the problems is the welfare state, hand outs are too easy to get and too easy to live off.  There is just no incentive to do otherwise.  The worrying thing is that many of those who work would probably bring up some good kids but as the cash goes they can't afford to.  Whereas lots of scroungers have kids as it gets them more money.

Good decent families are reducing is size while dodgy ones are rife.  They have got to stop supporting these people otherwise we will get totally over ridden with pond scum.

Get rid of Labour and ecspecially get rid od Gordon Brown and then go have a one way conversation with Margaret thatcher about your thoughts and feelings ( it all started when she came into power ).
