Do you look forward to getting older, not OAP (although guess it depends on how old you are now!) just a bit more grown up?

I never used to really, but recently I've been feeling quite romantic about getting a bit older. Im really looking forward to having kids, getting married, spending loads fo time and money on a house, buying a Land Rover and doing gardening.

There's nothing wrong with getting older it's the most natural and unavoidable thing in our lives and with it comes experience and reward. thumbsup

I'm more aware now that i'm not as young as i use to be (even though im only 26)

I enjoy life much more now and things that i thought i wouldn't like when i was say 18/19 i can't get enough of;

i.e - cosy night's in (although don't get me wrong, i still enjoy caning it out once in a while)

a "quiet" pint down the local

camping

wine

Etc etc,

So in answer to your question, no not really. I'm enjoying life now more than ever

I hope the above makes sense?

No, there's nowt wrong with getting older, it'll happen all by itself, without you wishing for it. Just don't let it stop you playing. It's not years that make you old, it's state of mind & mirrors. If i could never see myself in a mirror again, i'd still be 22. I can feel a million dollars, till i see my reflection! laughing

No, Being a foreigner i cannot own land or a house in Thailand, It's Thai law. I can own a condo if i want, But only if atleast a minimum of 51% of the other condo rooms are owned by Thai nationals.

Im 29 now... Still skatty and inconsistent with my life.

But Ive become bored, so have sought alternative and grown up forms of excitement like, investments & finance.  Along with camping and generally enjoying the things we have in nature.  And touring on my motorbike.  I do love the odd rampant rave-up... and caning session.

Ive even resorted to studies and find acheiving goals exciting...especially when you get $$$ at the end of them lol

I appreciate things more....  but I am still reckless with money and morals....  uhoh

Im working on it!

And I will not be succumbed to a MORTGAGE... I would rather turn $$$ into $$$$$$$ in order to buy a house outright.  thumbsup

That's no age! When you start the "can you remember when" conversations with your mates & know people in obituaries in local paper is the first sign. laughing What i've noticed is, you take note of your surroundings more, trees, plants, views etc.

Geting older is always like you described.

Getting married....                               easy, try staying married.

Spending time and money on the house: You have to,  no house is perfect.

Buying a Land rover.                         : Why, in London you'll be penilised and the rest of the world hates the
gas guzzling monsters and they're damn expensive to maintain.

Kids                                                 See Marriage, and wait for the CSA to come after you.

Gardening                                         You'll fucking hate it after a while.

Reality: You might have your head screwed on a bit more but they're are just as many hurdles to jump if you make it that far because sometimes, your body, and those around you just might not let you down.

And getting upset when you can’t find the Radio times

Not being able to chase after your kids or the ones that just robbed you.

Ive done the house, married, kids, and gardening bit, not the landrover part though. Once you do get all those it's hard to imagine life before it all. The last time I was single was 18 and im 35 noweeek Been with my fella 17 years in June and we will happily grow old together, although I don't wanna get old it's gonna happen so you have to just get on with it!

You're born perfect, as soon as you take your first breath you're dying. Fact.
