Right, i've changed my mind on my destination now seeing as though i'm going on my own, i'd like to go to Goa and do the festies.  Anybody know a good route through Goa to do a lot of them and see a lot of the scenery as i'm going to go for around 20 days so want to do as much in that time as possible and sample as many different parties as i can too!!! 

Was thinking of doing the same but after talking to a few people who've been there recently the party scene isn't as big as it used to be. The scenery is still awesome and I'd still love to go but if you are going specificaly for drugs and parties then I'd do some research first.

I'm not that bad man, i just set my mind on going somewhere the other week and seeing as though me and the missus were tight back then, it  involved going somewhere more picturesque but now we are sorting our shit out and being "friends" for now, i may as well do something i really want to do. 

I don't do drugs anymore, instead of buzzing from the combination of the drugs and music, i now just float on the music and i've always wanted to go to Goa for this reason.  Listening to Psy in the mrning sunrise with mountains in the foreground and the sea behind me just seems like a really spiritual experience.  I probably will end up doing something over there but maybe only a small amount of hallucinogens

Maybe go to Koh Phag Nan in Thailand.

I wish! Would love to be mashed stomping to some ace psy on a beach at sunrise. Favourite part of any outdoor festie is dancing outside at sun up. That & playing spot the dog!  Always used to make a point of getting a photo of sunrise over a tent.

I've got loads of friends in Thailand that have their own business' and i'm able to get accomodation out there whenever i want at the drop of a hat so Thailand doesn't seem that urgent if you get me.  Goa is calling me and you can get flights out there from as little as £180ish return.  It's not like i'll need accomodation but a few nights in hotels or whatever will be ok with the rest of my time in a tent somewhere!!!

It does seem that most parties are now based around bars as the police allow them there purely so they pay for revenue and such like but the ones in the hills and clearings are still around, there will always be the "illegal party" side of it.  Apparently you have to bribe the fuzz that do turn up but hey, if putting a little cash into the kitty for such an occurance is needed, i don't mind doing that at all.

Why is Goa "Urgent" ?

Well this is a possibilty but then i would rather end up with a like minded party goer than a Thai chick, no offense like but they ain't my bag.  Looks wise yeah but not relationship material in the slightest.... and yes i do know a fair few of them.  I used to work with a load of them in the casino's and shit.

Mate it weren't a dig, i just know from experience that different cultures sometimes (and quite often) don't mix well with an english view.  This is part of the reason why me and the missus have decided to sort our lives out seperately and then try again when we feel more settled.  My English attitude towards getting somewhere in life wasn't going down too well with her mum who is typically Indian in her views on it.... they just don't work in this country unfortunately.

And i wasn't actually saying get a thai chick, If you went to Koh Pha Ngan then most of the people there are white, From every country in the world, All on one island. And they are all there for ONE THING, To party to music.

If you're 100% going to Goa then speak to Sativa, He goes there A LOT, And knows all the best places and thing to do.

do it, i was there xmas before last which i think is the best time to go, i loved it there such a great vibe much better than thailand no chavs
u realy want to stop in vagator avoid baga and calangut (probably spelt wrong) they are so toristy its just wrong
as for parties well they are good but it seems alot quiter than i expected, the best parties by far were at hill top on xmas day and nye check them on you tube, theres also a great club callred west end which has some sick russian psy parties and a not so good club called paradise which is more like an indian meat market to pick up white chicks but the music is good
and last but not least u can bu ket over the counter

I haven't seen any chavs in Thailand in the 10 years i've been going , The simple reason is Chavs can't afford it, Not even with their selling pot and pills... They just neck most of the profits and go out clubbing . Plus they all have 20 kids so how do they manage Thailand?

thailand is good but its full of cunts and horrible old men there seem to be a large amout of people on 2 week holidays rather than traveling peeps
dont get me wrong i met some great people there but it really has no way the same atmosphere as goa it doesent even come close
