In reply toNo you're right, you don't need a degree to get a TEFL, but in Thailand they want you to have a TEFL along with a degree, in any subject. I guess it comes from a couple of years ago when any dodgy fucker could get a teaching job out here, ....

ASFAIK, you need the TEFL quali but don't need a degree to obtain one - certainly 2/5 of aformentioned mates don't have a degree and got a job in Japan fine.
